GameAgent.com itself is a free site for anyone to visit, and there is no obligation to ever purchase a game – no subscription, no monthly fees.

Is GameAgent.com available for everyone worldwide?
We have recently expanded our store’s coverage to include many more countries and regions than just North America. Depending on your location, you will see either the North American version of our store, where purchases can be made in US dollars ($), or the European version of our store, where purchases can be made in either British pounds sterling (£) or euros (€).

What games can I get through GameAgent.com?
Visitors can view the list of available games via their country’s store. Please visit your store to see what games are available to you.

Does GameAgent use Digital Rights Management (DRM)?
Most games sold via GameAgent.com, whether boxed or digital, use some form of DRM.

For most digital downloads, GameAgent uses a form of DRM called Software Passport Mac. Developed in partnership with ecommerce platform provider Digital River, this DRM wraps the executable in a serial number-based activation. The purchaser downloads the wrapped file and is provided a serial number via email after purchase. After downloading the game, the user enters the serial number provided which is checked via online connection against a remote server that contains valid serial numbers, and the game is ready for install.

For boxed games, GameAgent employs a variety of DRM solutions, including Disk Check, which requires the game disc be present in order to play the game, and SecuROM, a serial number-based encryption, owned and operated by Sony, that verifies against a remote server.

How many downloads are allowed?
Customers may download the game up to 10 times. This includes if you mess up and “re-download.” If you run through those 10 downloads, please call our customer service (support.aspyr.com/ 1.512.708.8100), and they’ll help you out. Restarting the downloads and a poor network connection could lead to using up more than one download.

How many activations are allowed?
Customers may activate the game twice. This means you can install and activate on two machines. Please call customer support should you experience a need for additional activations.

Can I switch to a new machine and still have my games?
With all standard orders, installs are permitted on 2 machines, with 2 activations available between those 2 machines. Unfortunately, you cannot deauthorize a machine once the game has been activated and move it to another machine.

What about the Extended Download Service?
The Extended Download Service (EDS) is an optional service that insures the download and installation of your games for two years (2 years) following purchase. If you face an issue with a previously downloaded game please contact support for assistance (hyperlink to our support area).

What kind of download time can I expect?
Depending on which games you choose to purchase and how fast your Internet connection is, download times will vary. The download will run in the background and you will not at all be prevented from doing other things on your computer. Please note that most downloads are large files. DO NOT INTERRUPT A DOWNLOAD AS IT WILL NOT GO FASTER IF YOU MAKE ANOTHER ATTEMPT.

Where do my games go once I download them?
Your default download manager will be used to save the game to your computer.

How will GameAgent.com handle piracy issues?
As noted in our DRM section, each game that you download is, by default, locked to your computer. A game can only be played on the particular computer where it has been authorized.

How will billing be handled?
You will be prompted to enter your credit card information and will be charged once you accept the terms and conditions to purchase the game.
